Blurb:

Nico met the love of his life when he was seventeen.

Immediately, he realizes that the gap in their ages is too significant to make a move on her until she’s legal in the eyes of the law. So he joins the United States Navy, killing time until he can come home to her again.

But a tragedy strikes while Georgia is alone and vulnerable, and with no other recourse, Georgia leaves, disappearing without a trace.

After months of searching, he finds her, but quickly realizes that she needs the time to herself to work out her problems on her own.

So he leaves her be, knowing that if she ever felt anything for him, she’d come back home to him.

But it takes her years to return, and in those years, Nico changes, too.

He’s seen too much. Done too much. Lost too much.

He lives his life as a SWAT officer for KPD, goes through the motions of everyday life, but only as half a man. And not even the good half. The US military saw to that.

When the two finally come back together, one question remains. Will she love him as the man he is now, or leave him because he’s not the same man he used to be?

Excerpt:

I spotted her the moment I topped the hill.

She was wearing jeans.  Skin tight jeans that made my heart skip a beat.

She looked exactly like I remembered her.

Long legs that went on forever, small dainty hands.  She was around five eight, and had a killer ass.  Her hair was the only thing different.

It used to be long and brown, down to her waist.

It was the same beautiful brown color on top, yet now there was a barrage of colors added to the layer underneath the top brown layer.  It was shorter, as well.  Short.  As in to her shoulders, short.

In fact, it really did it for me.

I made sure to scruff my boots on the gravel to let her know I was behind her, and she froze, turning slowly.

Her face was exactly like I remembered it.

A smattering of freckles still covered her nose and cheeks, and her beautiful lips were still round and full.

And God, her eyes were to die for.

Crystal fucking blue.

She was gorgeous.

Those gorgeous baby blues widened when she saw me, but it didn’t take her long and she was running.

I widened my stance and caught her as she launched herself into my arms.

She was my world eight years ago, and now, it felt exactly the same.  I wanted her so bad it hurt.

Wrapping my arms around her, I buried my nose into the crease of her neck.

“Nicolas,” she breathed into my neck.

She smelled like the sun, and felt perfect in my arms.  Like she was always meant to be there.

Eight years ago, I’d made the first move.  Letting her know that I was interested.

I’d waited too long, though.

I should’ve done it earlier, but I was worried about propriety.

I worried that she’d been too young, that I should wait until she was graduated.

Maybe if I’d made my move earlier, she’d have stayed.

But I didn’t, and she’d disappeared.

Then I’d gotten deployed, and we’d lived on the occasional letter to keep in touch.

My favorite letter, the one that’d saved me.  The one that was the first thing I’d read after the death of nearly my whole unit, I still carried with me to this day.

It was nothing special.  Just a short one from Georgia telling me she’d taught a boy, in a park she ran at, how to do a sliding tackle.  But it’d been the words at the end of the letter that had pulled me out of whatever zone I’d been in.

Three simple words:  I need you.

The letters had gotten me through a lot of years and a lot of scary days.

She probably didn’t realize it, but she saved my life.

“Georgia.” My roughened voice croaked.  “I’ve missed the hell out of you.”

Blurb:

Luke Roberts came to the small lazy town of Kilgore, Texas with one thing on his mind: Forgetting.  He wanted to forget why he left.  Forget those emerald green eyes that haunted his dreams.  And forget how it felt to have his heart ripped out of his chest by a woman who didn’t like the fact that he had a child.  It was something he’d been doing a damn fine job of doing, too.  Until Reese smashed through every one of his defenses, and made him feel again.

Reese Doherty was just trying to do the best for her little girl.  So she moved to the little boomtown nearly an hour from where she grew up to be the school nurse for Kilgore’s littlest people.  That’s where she met him.  The SWAT officer and the man that would change her life forever.  The sexy man who liked to drive fast, and live life like it should be lived.  He drove her crazy, and became something she could barely live without.

But Luke was a hero.  A man used to risking his life to make the world a safer place.  Something Reese had to decide whether she could handle or not.  Preferably before her and her daughter became too attached.

Just when she’s ready to give him her whole heart, her world takes a huge hit, and everything she thought she knew wasn’t as it seemed.

Luke wasn’t a quitter, though.  Damn far from it, and he’d prove to her that he’d be there when the dust settled.  Whether she wanted him to be or not.

Excerpt:

She sat back in her chair, a smile on her face.  “So you used her for sex?”

I shook my head.  “No.  That’s not what I said.”

“Oh?” She asked.  “Then what did you mean?”

“It means that I was having fun.  She was an amusement, one that might have turned into something more in time, but wore out her welcome when she told me she didn’t like my child,” I said coldly.

I wouldn’t have said it as coldly if I hadn’t seen Lydia stand up in the mirror above Reese’s head.  Just having her anywhere near me set my skin to crawling.  Just as it’d done when I’d left her.

I saw her flinch and turn around, as did Reese, who gave me a sympathetic look.

“You’ve got this twitch…right above your eye,” she said, a grin playing at the corner of her lip.  “I think I really like you.  I didn’t think anyone could be as mean as I could.”

“Are you done yet, or are you just going to play with that straw with your talented tongue some more?”  I asked, exasperated.

She winked.

“What,” she asked, licking the straw completely before sucking it into her mouth.  “Does this bother you?”

She was playing with fire.

“You know,” I said, standing slowly.  “I’ve had one hell of a week.  I’m running on fumes, and you’re getting really close to pushing my last button.”

She stood too, taking the half eaten milkshake with her.

“And what button’s that?” She asked over her shoulder.

I took in the view of her backside.  The tight black pants that molded to her ass perfectly.  Her long hair that just brushed the top of her butt… just begging for me to sink my fingers into it.  A handhold I could pull while I fucked her hard from behind.

“I’m not an easy man.” I said softly behind her.  I’m rough.  I have a kid. My job’s demanding and I won’t be able to devote a lot of time to you.”

She snorted.  “I’m not an easy woman.  I’m emotional.  I have baggage.  I’m loud.  My kid requires a lot of my attention.  And I PMS once a month.”

In one swift move, I pinned her up against the side of my cruiser.

Her body went limp, and her fingers went to my shirt, clutching it in her fists.

My mouth slammed down on hers.  Weeks of sexual frustration coming out into the kiss.

She tasted like vanilla ice cream.

Soft and smooth, and oh, so sweet.

“You’re so fucking sexy,” I said against her lips.  “When I get you into my bed, I won’t let you up for air for weeks.”

She grinned, pulling in the air I’d just exhaled before saying, “We have kids.  You’ve got until ten A.M.  Tops.”

I leaned forward.  “That’s enough time…for now.”

UnTouch Me by Dawn Martens

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Angels Warriors Series
Cover Designer: Sara Eirew Photography

The truth always comes out, no matter how deep you try to bury it. Secrets never make their way to the grave.
Lilly Mayer has always lived a simple life. She’s loyal—maybe too loyal since faithfulness cost her the love of her life. Keeping Eden’s whereabouts a secret from everyone, including Vinny, has ripped away Lilly’s future.

Vincent “Zippo” Torino knows he’s a goddamn bastard. And he’s willing to use Lilly’s loyalty to Eden as his own escape from a hell he created. He doesn’t give a damn that he’s leaving the woman pregnant with his child behind—not when he has to protect his own destructive secret. And not when he’s sure she’s going to beat him to the punch and leave first.

As the dangers to the club escalate, nobody’s hearts—or lives—are safe.

*All books in this series are 50K words, all to be combined into ONE paperback titled UnLove Me*

Mind blowing book. I hate some of the parts in it, but as I'm sure Dawn has her reasons of why its going the way it is. I didn't expect it to be who it was at the end, and even though I wish Lilly would have gotten her happy ending - maybe in the next book they will. As I hope to see happy endings for all of them. :)

Dawn Martens is a young, spunky Canadian Author.
Being a wife to Colin, and a mother to three beautiful little girls (Sarah (2007), Grace (2010), and Ava (2014)) hasn't stopped this Canadian Firecracker from pursuing her dreams of becoming a writer!
Dawn's number one passion in life is the written word, and she's extremely thankful that she has the ability to share the ramblings from the characters inside of her head with the rest of the world!
She also may or may not have the hugest girl crush on Author Kristen Ashley, who is her personal idol and helped inspire Dawn in the beginning of her Indie career.
