First I thought 'What? Branson is getting his book?!' But Man oh Man.... Does he have a heart of Gold! He's Dominating (Tessa has been holding out on us lol), sexy, swoon worthy, loving, TOTAL. ALPHA!! Shh.. Don't tell Knox and Cohen, but Branson has stolen my heart. He redeemed himself, all he wanted was love. And he found his Ari. Yes, I'm still swooning!! Thank you Tessa, this book is on my top 10 this year. I already called DIBS on Branson!!

Excerpt #1

​ “There are some questions I need to ask you, but we can do that in a little bit. Until then, is there anyone you want us to call? Someone on scene was able to find your purse, which fortunately hadn’t been destroyed in the blast. There was no emergency contact information in your purse, however, and you’ve only been out of surgery for a couple of hours. We haven’t been able to track anyone down as of yet.”

​The last thing I want is Victoria and William showing up here, especially with Benjamin in tow. Not wanting to worry anyone, I decide I’ll call Alyssa once things calm down. “No, I’m not from around here, and the last thing I want to do is worry my family. When I’m feeling a little more rested, I’ll give them a call.” 

​The nurse gives me an understanding smile, and I sigh with relief that she’s not going to push me on this. At least not yet. “Okay, Ms. Covington. I understand completely. I’ll just set your purse here, and if you feel up to it, your cell is still inside. Now, I need to answer this page, but if you need anything in the meantime, don’t hesitate to hit the nurses’ call button. You may feel a little drowsy from the pain medication, so for now, try to get some rest.”

​I watch as she leaves the room before I rest my head on my pillow, replaying the events of the past twenty-four hours. What should’ve been the prelude to one of the best days of my life has turned into a nightmare. Instead of wearing a white wedding dress, I’m stuck in a hospital gown. And even now, my fiancé—or, well, former fiancé—is the last man on my mind. No, instead, I’m thinking about the beautiful man who saved my life. Who once told me that he was beyond saving. 

​The night I met Branson Wellington, he was a mess. A drunken, pitiful, angry mess. This evening, I saw no signs of that man. I saw confidence. I saw arrogance. I saw determination. EXCERPT 

I can feel my bed dip slightly as I sense someone climbing into bed and lying beside me. The heat from their body travels through my thin cami. I know I’m not dreaming as soon as I feel a hand touch my thigh and slowly begin to travel up my side.

I’m lying on my side, facing the large wall of windows that overlook Houston as the moonlight glistens through the room. Other than the light from the moon and the clock on my stand, the entire bedroom in engulfed in darkness.

I blink, trying to get my eyes to focus. Everything is blurry, and my body feels as if it’s still in a dream. I glance towards the glowing clock on the nightstand to see what time it is. It’s just a little after six in the morning; I’ve only been asleep for a few hours.

Rolling onto my back, I raise my hands up above my head to stretch, causing a tiny squeak to slip out of my mouth. Coming into focus beside me is Jax.

Am I still dreaming?

Pinching a piece of skin on my forearm, I shout, “Ouch…I guess I’m not dreaming?” and let out a small giggle.

Jax’s eyes smile down at me, glowing in the moonlight illuminating my bed. “Nope. You’re definitely not dreamin’, baby.” His words, mixed with the sensation of his fingers trailing up and down my thigh, cause my body to erupt in goose bumps. My core tightens with anticipation as his fingers slowly slide higher up my leg and work their way towards my inner thigh.

Closing my eyes momentarily, I inhale deeply before opening my eyes and locking them with Jax’s.

“You came back?”

His hand stops moving, and he gives my leg a gentle squeeze. “I couldn’t sleep. I’ve been tossing and turning in there all night. The image of you half-naked in here with just a thin wall between us was driving me absolutely mad.”

He’s leaning on his left arm, with his head resting in the palm of his hand as his brown eyes search my face. His fingers begin their course again, making their way up my body agonizingly slowly. Just as his fingers get to the edge of my panties, he runs them over the thin fabric separating us, causing my eyes to slam back shut and a shudder to shoot through my sex as it clenches with anticipation of his fingers entering me.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, he slides the thin fabric of my panties to the side, all the while never taking his eyes off mine. With a perfect pace, he begins moving his fingers over my sex, spreading my juices from my entrance to my clit.

My eyes momentarily roll back as I feel a spark ignite in my core.

Angelica is most certainly right when it comes to "what is one mans trash is another mans treasure."
At least that's what I'm leaning towards when it comes the Sexual Awakenings series. Vil lives with  her husband has lied to her form day one, and has never been faithful to her. When Vil says, enough is enough, she takes her life in her own hands, When she goes into chat room, she meets one person that is determined to give her what she is looking for. But when she doesn't tell Rhys the whole truth, things don't end the way she wants to. Well the way us readers want it to.

I really wanted to yell and scream when Rhys walked out, but at the end of the book when Rhys contacts Vil, I was jumping for joy. Now my only wish is that Vil gets to be happy.

For a Volume one of a series, it keeps you on your toes - what can I say, i stayed up late last night to get 70% in to only fall asleep. Then have to re-read some to finish the book. I can't wait for volume 2!
